Earlier this year motoring.com.au reported that the upcoming Mercedes-AMG A35 could have a power output of around 250 kW, ensuring that the new entry-level AMG would easily out power its closest German rival, the Audi S3 Sportback.
Now a recent announcement made by AMG boss, Tobais Moers, in Car and Driver interview suggests that the first-ever A35 will produce around 224 kW. This means that the A35 would be 4 kW down on the current S3 available in South Africa.
Could Moers be underplaying his hand on these output figures? We’ll have to wait and see what official details the manufacturer reveals once the vehicle is shown later in the year.
