The fixed-roof version of Jaguar’s shapely-yet-savage F-Type is expected to break cover at the upcoming LA Motor Show and the company has graced the ‘web with a sneak peek at what to expect.
Despite the obvious parallels with the convertible, company sources claim that the Jaguar F-Type Coupe will exhibit a distinctly different character thanks to its lighter kerb weight and more rigid body structure.
The coupe’s engine line-up is expected to mirror that of the convertible; namely a brace of supercharged 3,0-litre V6s producing 250 kW/450 N.m and 280 kW/460 N.m in the F-Type and F-Type S, respectively, and a supercharged 5,0-litre V8 developing 364 kW/625 N.m in the V8 S.
There’s also word that even more driver-focused models are on the cards including a lighter, more powerful RS model and a track-aimed RS-GT packing in excess of 410 kW.
All details will be revealed at the Jaguar F-Type official unveiling in LA later this month.
