Lexus SA has revealed the pricing of its three all-new IS saloon models.
Lexus has launched the IS with only one model. The company believes that this model is the most competitive. No other models are currently set for local introduction.

The IS 350 is powered by a 3,5-litre V6 naturally-aspirated engine developing 228 kW at 6 400 r/min and 375 N.m at 4 800 r/min. Standard features across the range include a drive mode select that adjusts the powertrain, suspension and steering characteristic depending on the mode you choose – normal, eco, sport mode. Other highlights include LED daytime running lights, electrically adjustable heated front seats, three-spoke steering wheel with satellite audio, ‘phone and voice controls, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, an audio system (different systems for different models), iPod and Bluetooth connections, auto-on headlamps, ABS with EBD and brake assist, traction control, vehicle stability control, 10 airbags and Isofix anchorages.
As a reference point, BMW’s 328i (180 kW/350 N.m) is priced at R472 000, with the 335i (225 kW/400 N.m) at R567 000.
Mercedes-Benz’s C350 (225 kW/370 N.m) is priced at R580 907, while Audi’s A4 3,0 TFSI Quattro (200 kW/400 N.m) will set you back R520 000.
