Madonna ordered an electric blue Mini Cooper and ordered about R64 000 worth of extras including a leather interior, 17” alloy wheels and a satellite navigation system.
reports that the workers at the Cowley plant in Oxfordshire all signed their names on the underside of the chassis and under the bonnet.
“We are all so proud that Madonna is such a big fan of the car. Everyone who worked on it left their signature, either inside or under the bonnet,” said one worker.
“If anyone doubted this was a classy car before, they can certainly think again now Madonna has bought one.”
Madge is not the first celebrity drooling over the Mini. Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Steve McQueen, Peter Sellers, Niki Lauda and Enzo Ferrari all owned the old Mini. The new Mini also features in the latest Austin Powers movie called Goldmember.
