Mercedes-Benz’s large people-carrier has been given a sportily styled derivative dubbed the V-Class Night Edition. The latest version of the Stuttgart-based brand’s V-Class features a handful of sporty AMG-design styling highlights, all with black finishes.
The V-Class Night Edition gains a pair of black side-mirror caps as well as a black radiator grille with two high-gloss blades. A set of 19-inch seven-spoke AMG alloy wheels (painted in, you guessed it, black) and special badges affixed to the front fenders are also included.
Inside, the dark theme continues thanks to tinted privacy glass, “comfort” seats (trimmed in black Nappa leather), a leather-look dashboard with contrasting top stitching, black roof-lining and special branded floor mats. This model furthermore features Mercedes-Benz’s parking package, complete with a 360° camera arrangement, as standard.
Power in the new derivative comes from the V250d’s 2,1-litre four-cylinder turbodiesel engine. This units 140 kW and 440 N.m of torque to the rear axle by means of a seven-speed automatic transmission.
The V-Class Night Edition is currently available in Germany with a starting price of €55 260 (that’s about R820 630). The Night Edition bears some similarities to the limited-edition Night Package that was revealed in the middle of 2017.
