ROBERT WOLK – SASOL / SAGMJ “TOP GUN” FOR MARCH -
- 16-year old East London “hotshot”, Robert Wolk, is the Sasol SAGMJ “Top Gun” for the month of March. -
- The former karting ace, in only his second outing in Zetec Formula Ford, raced to a brace of solid 3rd places at the Vodacom Power Tour meeting at Killarney, Cape Town, on 16 March. -
- Wolk’s commendable effort, behind the wheel of his Mygale Zetec, was against seasoned premier single seater racers. He wins R1 000 prize money and becomes a finalist for the R15000 season award for the 2002 Sasol / SAGMJ “Top Gun”, judged by members of the South African Guild of Motoring Journalists. -
- The other nominees for March were Noel Haaroff (Superbikes) and Franco De Matteo (WesBank Samcar), who also received their event category trophies at the Killarney prize giving. -
- Three more event trophies will be presented at the 27 April national day at East London.
