Although there might not be any significant visual changes for the 2016 XJ model year update, Jaguar has added an Autobiography model.
This model will only be available with the long-wheelbase version, equipped with 20-inch Maroa alloy wheels. Visually this model will also feature chromed air intake surrounds, while the interior also receive several updates.
The stainless steel treadplates will be illuminated, there will be rich oak veneer while passengers in the rear will be treated to two separate 10,2-inch folding HD screens.
Jaguar also confirmed, that when the digital TV option is specified, rear seat passengers will also have access to their own 100 GB harddrive.
A new electric power-assisted steering system has been fitted across the range, which, according to Jaguar, lowers fuel consumption and also offers a better response. The front grille is also larger and more upright than before, while the “J”-shaped LED taillights have been revised.
The updated range should become available in South Africa by the end of this year.
