Porsche will be giving its 2013 Boxster range a nip and tuck come 2017. Though only a few years away, the Boxster is already undergoing test and developments for the updated version.
Changes to the Boxster will be both aesthetically and under the bonnet. The headlights will be redesigned and feature a more angled look. The air intakes on the newly designed front bumper will also take on a completely different shape to that off the current model. Daytime running lights will also beincluded.
The Cayman range is also likely to feature many of these changes.
No word has been given as to what changes will be made on the mechanical side of the updated Boxster, though it is fair to assume that a few extra ponies will be extracted from the motors. The power figures for the current engines are rated at 198 kW for the base 2,7-litre, 236 kW for the Boxster S, and 247 kW for the 2015 Boxster GTS. Both the S and GTS make use of Porsche’s 3,4-litre flat six-cylinder .
The 2017 Porsche Boxster should debut in late 2015 or early 2016.
