This is the Qiantu K50, which some of you might remember as the K50 Event! when it was revealed at the Shanghai Autoshow in 2015. The concept is said to be complete and will be heading to the production line next month with an official release, mid-2017. It slates itself as a competitor to the likes of Tesla.
The K50 will be powered by an electric motor which will deliver 294 kW and 650 N.m of torque to the rear wheels, which gives it a claimed 0-100 km/h time of 5,0 seconds with a top speed of 200 km/h.
Less than 12 prototypes will be developed next month for testing, pending these results it will be released in the U.S by next year. Rumours suggest it will cost around R500 000.
