Following the spy video and the official confirmation from Ford that it is working on an RS replacement, the company has now released this official teaser video. Shot at the company’s testing facility in Belgium and another one in the USA, it clearly shows what we can expect dynamically from this new super hatch.
It also seems that unlike the previous generation Ford Focus RS, the new model will only – unfortunately – be available in a five-door body. From this video the upgrades over the ST is claerly visible. Changes include a new front nose, wider wheelarches (with a possible wider front and rear track), notable side sills and a new rear bumper with double exhaust pipes.
No technical details have been revealed though. But, Ford confirmed that all details will be made public on 3 February. We predict that power delivery will be around 250 kW, which will close to gap on cars such as the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG and BMW’s M135i.
Check back soon for more details.
