There is little uncertainty as to Ferrari’s next step with the LaFerrari. Shortly after the launch of the coupe, rumours started to circulate that a Spider version will eventually be build.
Now motoring website WorldCarFans reports that apparently some potential buyers were shown a Spider version of the LaFerrari at a private event over the weekend.
It seems Ferrari could be using this new model to celebrate 70 years since the first car to have a Ferrari badge was produced, although that would mean we will only see it in 2017.
Although 499 LaFerraris have been made, it seems the Spider version will be even more exclusive with only around 150-200 examples made. As is often the case these days, they are apparently all sold out.
The report also states that FXX K clients (the LaFerrari track car) were offered the Spider version first, before other collectors were approached.
It is unclear the type of roof this Spider version will feature, but we would not bet against a carbon-fibre roof that is made of a single or double panels.
