It took Lexus a number of years before it installed its first turbocharged petrol engine in one of its cars. However, since then the company has rolled out this engine throughout its range. This included the IS sedan, the NX compact SUV and the RC coupé. However, for the 2016 model year Lexus has refreshed the GS sedan and also added the GS 200t EX.
This 2,0-litre engine delivers 180 kW and 380 N.m. According to Lexus this GS will reach 100 km/h in 7,3 seconds before reaching a top speed of 230 km/h. Lexus claims a fuel consumption figure of 8,0 litres per 100 km.
The updated exterior design includes a new front with Bi-LED headlights, while the rear light clusters and bumper have also been redesigned.
Inside there is also a larger 4,2-inch information screen while more high-end materials have been implemented throughout the cabin.
