The Ford Mustang is an eye-catching machine in standard form, but Hurst Shifters and Kenne Bell have teamed up to create the R-Code Mustang, which will be on display at the upcoming SEMA show. Needless to say, this machine stands out a little more than most.
The R-Code will be limited to just 50 units, each one featuring a white and gold colour scheme along with chrome-plated 20-inch alloy wheels. This special model furthermore gains a prominent front splitter, unique side-skirts and the obligatory rear wing.
It is also closer to the ground thanks to a set of lowering springs. Extra “stance” has also been provided by the low-profile Nitto 265/35 ZR20 front and 305/30Z R20 rear tyres.
For speed, a 3,2-litre roots supercharger has been mated to the 5,0-litre Coyote V8 pushing its power output to 560 kW. Kenne Bell reckons it can take this figure all the way to 1 119 kW for those with a little more money. All of this power will be delivered to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.
The interior was taken care of mostly by Hurst and includes Recaro bucket seats (wrapped in black and pearl white leather), branded floormats and a stylish, short-throw six-speed shifter with a reverse lock-in.
