The standard Mercedes-Benz G500 4×4² is anything but subtle. But Mansory reckons it could be even more of a head-turner, and has created a package for customers who feel the same way.
Of course, as has become the Mansory way, generous use of carbon-fibre was right at the top of the list. But the tuner has also upgraded the cabin and, naturally, included a bit of a performance boost, too.
The latter comes courtesy of the Mansory Powerbox, which combined with a sport exhaust system, adds 47 kW and 100 N.m to the 4,0-litre bi-turbo V8’s peak outputs (for new maximums of 357 kW and 710 N.m).
Inside the off-roader, there’s a new set of aluminium pedals and a sports steering wheel featuring (you guessed it) a carbon inlay. Mansory says much of the cabin’s furnishing components have been “masterfully created by hand from leather and cutting-edge carbon fabric”. And, of course, there are all sorts of logos and decorative stitching.
One of the most interesting additions, though, is what the tuner calls the “stairway to heaven”: a step that automatically extends to help occupants climb into the cockpit. Nice touch.
