BMW has revealed its new M2 Edition Black Shadow model, confirming that the special edition will be available to order from April 2018.
Set to arrive in South Africa in June, just 20 units will be available on local shores.
So, what sets this model apart from the standard version of the BMW M division’s rear-wheel-drive coupé? Well, the M2 Edition Black Shadow is finished in Sapphire Black metallic paint and runs on 19-inch, matte black forged light alloys with a Y-spoke design and mixed tyres.
The side-mirror caps, meanwhile, feature a carbon finish, while the front grille and the trim bars for the side panels are finished in high-gloss black. The rear diffuser also features a carbon finish, with black-chrome trims for the double tailpipes.
Under the bonnet, though, nothing’s changed, which means the 3,0-litre straight-six is still worth 272 kW and the 0-100 km/h sprint still takes a claimed 4,3 seconds (or 4,5 seconds in the case of the manual). No word yet on local pricing.
