A CAR reader has sent us these pictures of several Porsche Boxsters undergoing hot weather testing in the Western Cape. These Boxsters formed part of a fleet of 20 Porsches that made their way through Swellendam today. As previously reported it is likely that these cars feature the new turbocharged, four-cylinder engines which could make their debut as early as the Geneva Motor Show in March.
It seems there will be only the slightest of exterior updates though.
All this forms part of Porsche’s plan to launch more turbocharged engines in the future, including engines in the upcoming facelifted 911 range. However, these engines will remain six-cylinder units.
Thanks for the tip off Christo Visser.
