We saw the Kamal concept revealed just over 13 years ago. And now Alfa Romeo’s long-awaited Stelvio SUV has been leaked ahead of its official debut at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The Stelvio’s design is in line with previous leaks we’ve seen over the past few months, and draws heavily on the exterior styling of the Giulia sedan. The same, of course, can be said of the interior.
Engine options are also presumed to be the same those found in the Giulia, including the Quadrifoglio twin-turbo 2,9-litre V6, which delivers 375 kW and 600 N.m of torque to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. Expect the sprint to three figures to take around 3,9 seconds.
Derivatives lower down the range will use the turbocharged 2,0-litre engine delivering 208 kW and 400 N.m via an all-wheel drive system. A 156 kW 2,2-litre turbodiesel may also be on the cards.
