Only a few days ago Lamborghini revealed its Aventador SV, a lighter, faster and more powerful version of its supercar. Now these images have surfaced of the topless version of the car, likely to be called the SV Roadster.
The SV Roadster will feature the same 563 kW, 6,5-litre V12 engine as the SV coupé, while the dash to 100 km/h is likely to be the same as the coupé, claimed to be 2,8 seconds. With the targa top in place, expect top speed to be in access of 350 km/h.
The body and additional addenda mimics that of the coupé. At the rear are four exhaust pipes pointing downwards and a notable diffuser. It seems for the cold weather testing there was little need to fix the rear wing though. Then there are four massive spot lights for night-time driving close to the Arctic circle… which does give this test mule a bit of a rally car stance!
There is a good chance the SV Roadster will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
