The Citroën C1 isn’t proving particularly popular in South Africa, with just a single unit being sold last month. Although the little city car is undoubtedly doing better in Europe, Citroën UK has decided to expand the C1’s audience further by introducing a sportier-looking model. This, then, is the C1 Furio.
It will be available in the three-door hatch variant and features the so-called “Feel” trim level. It boasts as 15-inch alloy wheels, a mild retro livery and “Sunrise Red” door mirrors and wheel centre caps to contrast the paintwork. A rear diffuser and central exhaust exit further add to the sporty exterior.
Inside, drivers will be greeted by wave grey cloth upholstery and a rev counter. Unfortunately, performance enhancements are not part of the package.
No word on whether this model will reach South Africa, but considering the struggling sales (and the fact that Citroën SA doesn’t offer the three-door body-style locally) its introduction seems highly unlikely.
