German tuner Posaidon has worked its magic on the outgoing Mercedes-AMG E63, transforming the sedan into a 750 kW monster.
The tuner says the Posaidon E63 RS850+ is the “most powerful street-legal Mercedes of all time”, thanks to claimed outputs of 750 kW and 1400 N.m.
The obligatory sprint from standstill to 100 km/h takes a mind-boggling 2,8 seconds, while the beastly E’s “theoretical” top speed of is electronically limited to 350 km/h (due to the load parameters of the tyres).
All major engine components of the 5,5-litre biturbo V8 were upgraded or re-engineered, according to Posaidon, with the job starting with the addition of a pair of larger turbochargers and more efficient intercoolers.
A bespoke carbon-fibre intake system, incorporating a large free-flow conical air filter, was also added, along with colder competition spark plugs. A handmade turbo-back exhaust system leads to a valve control rear silencer, while the ECU was custom-mapped to make full use of the new hardware.
The transmission, of course, also came in for some work, being extensively uprated to deal with the 1 400 N.m peak torque output. Posaidon furthermore fitted specially calibrated limited slip differentials to the front and rear axles of this all-wheel drive monster.
In a bid to save weight, the German tuner also binned the rear seats and rear door trims, before replacing the front seats with lightweight perches from the C63 Black Series model. The standard bonnet, front bumper, rear diffuser and spoiler, mirror caps and tailpipe trims were then replaced with lightweight carbon-fibre versions.
The standard grille was replaced by a wire mesh version and 20-inch ADV.1 alloy wheels fill the Posaidon E63 RS850+’s arches. The suspension was uprated with fully adjustable coil-overs, while a high-performance carbon-ceramic braking system takes care of the all-important stopping power.
