Premium Japanese brand Lexus has been hard at work not only producing luxury vehicles, but also developing exciting new models for enthusiastic drivers like the RC F and LF-LC. One such model in the pipeline is the GS F.
Spied undergoing testing in Europe, this camouflaged GS can’t hide the fact that it’s been tinkered with by the in-house F division at Lexus, which is similar to BMW’s M and Mercedes’s AMG. In fact, the GS F will go up against its German counterparts produced by those respective houses, the M5 and E63 AMG.
The GS F sports a gaping version of the company’s famed spindle grille and larger air intakes in the far reaches of the front bumper, multi-spoke lightweight alloy wheels and quad tailpipes housed within the diffuser insert underneath the rear bumper.
The same 5,0-litre V8 engine that can be found in the RC F, will make its way underneath the GS F’s bonnet, but speculation is rife that the powerplants been tweaked to produce in excess of 373 kW and 541 N.m of torque. Drive will be sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission that’ll enable the GS F to hit 100 km/h from standstill in under five seconds – while its top speed will nudge 280 km/h.
