Porsche’s 911 Carrera T is the brand’s take on a sportscar for the purists, with its simplified trim level and the option of a manual gearbox. In order to make it more suitable for power-hungry purists, Techart has tweaked the engine and exhaust system.
By making use of the German tuner’s in-house-developed engine control unit, the 911 Carrera T’s twin-turbo 3,0-litre flat-six now makes 316 kW and 530 N.m (up from the standard 272 kW and 450 N.m). This, according to the tuner, helps it achieve a 0-100 km/h time of 4,0 seconds and a top speed of 300 km/h.
In addition, the 911 Carrera T has been fitted with a valve-controlled exhaust with four titanium end tubes and a carbon-fibre jacket. Interestingly, though, Techart has opted against giving the vehicle a custom look.
So, how much will this performance upgrade set you back? Well, the package will set you back some €8 000 (that’s about R124 750)…
