Renault has revealed its new limited-edition Captur S-Edition, which debuts the French automaker’s new turbocharged 1,3-litre four-cylinder engine.
This unit (which slots in at the top of the range, above the 88 kW 1,2-litre engine) is good for a healthy 110 kW and 250 N.m, and can be mated to either a six-speed manual ora six-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The Captur S-Edition can be ordered in one of eight dual-tone paintwork options, including the Iron Blue and Etoilé Black finishes depicted above. A set of 17-inch diamond-cut alloys, Gun Metal grey front and rear skid plates and a smattering of S-Edition badges come standard.
Inside, you’ll find Alcantara/faux-leather seat upholstery featuring blue stitching, with the latter repeated on the gear lever and parking brake.
An additional technology package adds some extra kit, such as parking sensors (front, side and rear), a reversing camera, a parking assist feature and blind-spot monitoring.
While the Captur S-Edition is already available for order in France, there’s no word yet as to whether the special-edition model will make its way to South Africa.
