Regular visitors to the site will know that we like to day dream and browse through auction sites.
Most auctions will feature a number of unique cars with very interesting histories, however, on the 14th of May at the RM Auctions event in Monaco, a unique Porsche GT1 Evolution will be auctioned.
So, what is special about this car? First of all, it is not one of the 25 Street versions that were built. It is actually the only ex-race GT1 Evo car which has been road registered.
As if that is not enticing enough, this car won the Canadian GT Championship three times in a row from 1999 to 2001.
Powering this endurance racer is a 3,2-litre, flat-six, turbochared engine developing around 450 kW. This is a healthy amount more than the Street version which offered 405 kW and also tipped the scales 100 kg heavier.
The current estimate is between €2,7 – €3 million (R46 – R51 million).
We will be quite impressed if the new owner actually drives this car on the road, he would be just as cool as this owner in the video below!
