Known for going crazy on the Porsche 911, German tuner TechArt has revealed an exclusive new package for the 911 Turbo S. Set to be limited to just 30 units, the package brings both visual and technical upgrades to the Turbo S.
Fashioned from carbon and put to the test in a wind tunnel, TechArt’s latest body kit includes side air-intake trim, a ram-air scoop and a fresh grille. A remodelled roof spoiler, side-skirts, rear apron louvers and a diffuser furthermore serve to balance the model’s lift and downforce. These pieces can be colour-coded in matte or gloss paint.
Thanks to a Techtronic powerkit, the 3,8-litre twin-turbo flat-six also benefits from a bump in power, from the stock 427 kW and 700 N.m of torque to a somewhat healthier 470 kW and 880 N.m.
The tuned Turbo S is thus able to hit 100 km/h from a standstill in a claimed 2,7 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 338 km/h. There’s also a valve-controlled exhaust to give the boxer engine a wider aural ambit.
To improve handling, a set of sports springs has been added, lowering the overall ride height by some 30 mm. In addition, TechArt has fitted 245/35 ZR20 front and 305/30 ZR20 rear Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres to a fresh set of wheels.
Furthermore, the cabin has been revised with items such as a “Type 7” sports steering wheel, which is based on the tiller from the GT range. Fine leather and additional carbon-fibre trim have also been added, along with a set of handcrafted floor mats, complete with “GTsport x of 30” branding.
Excluding the price of the base car itself, this package will set 911 Turbo S owners back by some €29 991 (that’s around R470 779 at the current exchange rate), including VAT…
