To celebrate one million followers on Instagram, Swedish hypercar builders Koenigsegg released a passionate video of its carbon fibre Regera being crash tested in its factory. You’re going to need a strong stomach for this.
Accompanied by some intense electronic music, the video shows the R24 million rand hypercar in its naked carbon fibre state being put through the common front and side impact tests. After that comes the thorough mallet bashing test which is then succeeded by a pavement and tyre clearance test. To our surprise, the Regera seems to hold itself together quite well, probably thanks to that carbon fibre construction.
Let’s hope none of the 1 118 kW limited models that are produced have to go through such torment in the future.
