2014 Toyota Corolla Leaked? Looks faithful to Furia

Images of what is purported to be the 2014 Toyota Corolla have leaked onto the ‘web ahead of the car’s expected arrival here next year.

The images posted on a Polish Toyota enthusiast’s site appear to show a shapely D-segment saloon that shares some elements of its rear profile (namely that deep rear valance) with the recently revealed Toyota Furia Concept that bowed at this year’s Detroit Motor Show. The frontal treatment has been considerably pared down when compared to that of the concept but looks suitably familial with its headlamp/grille swathe being strongly reminiscent of that featured on the new Toyota Auris.

There’s still a great deal of speculation regarding the powertrain specifics surrounding this model, but if the Furia concept is anything to go by it appears that the Corolla will be underpinned by the same 2 700 mm wheelbased platform as the new Auris.

Euro-spec, all the way. The little square covers just below the headlights are for headlight washers, which are required in Europe.

It really needs decent wheels and go up a size!!!! I haven’t seen a lot of Toyotas in Europe on my last visit. VW’s,Audi’s,BMW’s,MERCS, Kia’s,Hyundai’s etc. and one dubbel-cab pick-up was driven by an African man!!
