The new Audi A5 DTM is a limited edition of the German manufacturer’s coupe that attains design inspirations from the DTM racer. With this generation of A5 soon coming to an end it can be assumed that this will be the final limited edition of this run.
In terms of external design this A5 has been given a light livery consisting of Quattro, DTM and Audi Sport logos accompanied by a Misano Red paint job with gloss black detailing. A set of 20-inch Audi Sport Alloy wheels have also been added to the mix.
The A5 DTM has the bucket seats found in the RS5 with the same red detailing found on the exterior. Red stitching and Alcantara fabric also make their way into the predominately leather covered cabin.
The 3,0-litre six-cylinder turbodiesel engine produces 180 kW and 580 N.m of torque, helping the A5 DTM accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5,9 seconds and the all the way to its 250 km/h limit. Power to the wheels will be delivered by a permanent all-wheel drive Quattro drivetrain with the help of a seven-speed S tronic transmission.
The A5 DTM will only be limited to 50 units with prices starting at the equivalent of R1 200 000. Whether it will be available here in South Africa is not yet clear.
