Interest in the 2002 Auto Africa Expo to be held at the Nasrec Exhibition Centre in October has started growing as exhibitors begin preparing their displays for what promises to be the most spectacular show ever held on the African continent.
The show will held from October 21-27.
According to Pula Dippenaar, director of Auto Africa Expo 2002, many exhibitors have already visited the arena. “Several international designers have already visited the facility to measure up and make preparations for their international pavilions.
“All the major brands have committed to participation in Auto Africa Expo 2002 and motoring enthusiasts and investors in high-end vehicles and exotics can look forward to a dynamic display of vehicles and technology,” she said.
Organisers of the CAR and CARtoday.com conference, which will again be chaired by Brand Pretorius, chief executive of McCarthy Retail and president of the Retail Motor Industry organisation, have also started working on the theme and topics.
The 2000 theme “The South African Motor Business in the year 2007” proved very successful. The focus in 2002 will be on passenger car sales.
There will be a mix of international and South African business leaders lined up with presentations to make the day an absolute must for anyone with an interest in the future of South Africa and its rapidly changing motor industry.
The following topics are proposed:
- Future trends in world passenger car sales – the types, the stars, the numbers and the changes in competition
- Future trends in the South African market and what we can expect
- What the customer wants
- New ideas for customer sales and service, from both a South African and an overseas speaker
- Future car design trends to meet customers’ needs
- South Africa of the future.
- And many more.
The CAR conference remains an important part of the show. It is the definitive forum for discussing the way ahead for South Africa’s motor industry. And we would like to hear your thoughts.
