BMW has decided to unveil a concept previewing the new M4 GTS at this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
Like the E92 M3 GTS before it, the M4 GTS will carve a niche for itself in BMW’s performance lineup as a more hardcore and track focused version of the standard M4.
The M4 GTS concept features the standard car’s 3,0 liter straight-six engine but with BMW’s new direct water injection system as seen on the BMW M4 MotoGP Safety Car and the 1 Series Direct Water injection prototype we drove at the company’s Miramas proving grounds in France.
Among the M4 GTS concept’s key features are OLED taillamps, a manually adjustable front splitter and rear spoiler, and various weight-saving measures such as a carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic bonnet and multiple radiators for optimal cooling.
The M4 GTS features BMW’s frozen grey paint scheme with Acid Orange accents on the front splitter and 666 M Style wheels. Thes will be shod with Michelin Sport Cup 2 tyres in different sizes from front to rear, 265/35 R19 and 285/30 R20, respectively.
Further details regarding performance and power outputs will follow soon.
