It is the most powerful production BMW M4/M3 to date. The M4 GTS is also the first BMW to feature water injection, a technology the company developed in its Moto GP safety car.
Equipped with the same base engine as the standard M4, the GTS develops 368 kW and 600 N.m. These are notable increases over the standard car’s 317 kW and 550 N.m.
Furthermore, BMW claims a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3,8 seconds and a top speed of 305 km/h, down and up from 4,1 seconds and 250 km/h (the latter electronically limited). These figures are partly owing to the increase in power and torque, but also because the GTS is nearly 100 kg lighter than a standard M4 equipped with the DCT transmission.
This makes the M4 GTS BMW’s fastest car to date.
It is unclear how many M4 GTS models will be heading to South Africa, but needless to say it won’t be a lot. They will arrive in South Africa toward the end of July 2016.
The pricing for the M4 GTS is R2 146 506.
