We’ve already seen the Zotye SR9, which unashamedly mimics the Porsche Macan. But now the Chinese automaker has unveiled a special version it says is aimed directly at female buyers (condescending much?).
Set to make its debut at the upcoming Shanghai motor show, the Macan clone is – as you’ll no doubt by now have noticed – really quite pink. It’s called the SR9 “Nunsheng”, which loosely translates to “Goddess”.
According to CarNewsChina, the word is often used to describe a woman – such as a singer or an internet celebrity – who is admired by others.
The pink theme dominates not just the exterior, but the cabin, too, which features a dash top, door trim, arm rest and gear-lever knob all finished in the hue. Even the seats employ pink stitching.
As with the rest of the SR9 range, this model is powered by a Mitsubishi-sourced 2,0-litre petrol engine.
