Ford has revealed a new retro “Pony Package” conceived for the facelifted Mustang.
Set to be available for EcoBoost variants only, the styling package gives a nod to the nameplate’s heritage with its grille-mounted “pony-in-corral” chrome badge design.
This badge design first appeared on the Mustang back in the mid-1960s, when the car was still in its concept phase. And it has appeared in various forms since, including as part of an anniversary package in 2015.
In addition to the pony-in-corral grille badge, the package includes 19-inch polished alloys, bright beltline and window trim (for the fastback model), “premium” floor mats with Ebony embroidered pony logos, stripes on the lower body flanks and a tri-bar pony badge on the rear.
