Meet the second generation of G-Power’s X6 M Typhoon, a high-end SUV making use of a wide-body kit and some tweaks to BMW’s powerplant.
The X6 M Typhoon features a new front bumper with larger air intakes, a ventilated carbon-fibre bonnet, widened wheel-arches, side-skirts and coil-over suspension with 23-inch Hurricane RR forged alloy wheels. A carbon-fibre rear diffuser and a four-tailpipe titanium exhaust system completes the aggressive image.
The X6 M Typhoon still makes use of BMW’s twin-turbo 4,4-litre V8 powerplant, but it has been given upgraded turbochargers, downpipes, and a reworked ECU, which results in a total power output of 551 kW and 980 N.m of torque.
That translates into a quarter-mile time of 11,5 seconds and a top speed of 300 km/h.
If you own an X6 M, G-Power will convert it into a Typhoon model for the princely sum of $58 829 (R917 000).
