The recently revealed 2018 Ford Mustang features an engine start/stop button that pulses red once the vehicle’s doors are unlocked.
The ignition button – which is encased in an aluminium ring and positioned on the lower driver’s side of the centre stack – continues to pulsate until the engine is started, beating at exactly 30 times a minute.
Why? Well, Ford says this “mirrors the resting heart rate of a pony”, giving the Mustang “a heartbeat of sorts”.
The 2018 Mustang also features an all-new 10-speed automatic transmission, the option of adaptive suspension and a customisable 12-inch digital instrument display (read more about that here).
