As is the case with every international motor show, some models we expect to see, while some manufacturers really aim to impress and surprise the world’s motoring enthusiasts and media.
Honda has released this single image showing what the Japanese company refers to as the “Honda Project 2 & 4 powered by RC213V, showcasing Honda’s uniquely creative engineering”.
This concept is the winner of the company’s global design competition which was run between its design studios.
More importantly is the fact the this project was designed together between both the motorcycle and automobile design centres.
Unfortunately Honda hasn’t revealed any further information, but Autocar did publish some very interesting details.
This car is set to have a “cabinless design”, pointing to a full single-seater experience. Powering the car will be a high output V4 motorcycle engine, based on the unit found in the RC213V, Honda’s über expensive MotoGP racer for the street.
We can only hope that something worthwhile will be heading to the production line following this radical concept. However, it is unfortunately unlikely.
