Hyundai has used the Sao Paulo Motor Show to reveal the Creta STC concept, an SUV-based bakkie that takes aim at the likes of the Renault Duster Oroch.
The STC, which stands for “Sport Truck Concept”, is noticeably longer than the Creta SUV at 4,65 metres. It rides on 21-inch alloys wrapped in Pirelli rubber.
Like the larger Santa Cruz concept unveiled last year, the Creta STC concept features a double-cab layout, suicide rear doors and a unibody construction.
Of course, the concept shares much of its styling with the Creta SUV, which is scheduled to launch in South Africa in early 2017.
Will the Creta STC make it to production? Well, that remains to be seen. But if a production version does eventually see the light of day, it surely would be something the Korean automaker would consider launching in bakkie-mad South Africa.
