Nissan in Japan has started production of its most powerful V6 engine yet for its sister brand, Infiniti.
Known internally as the VR30, this new twin-turbo engine will now be installed in the Q50 sports sedan as well as the new Q60 sports coupé.
According to Infiniti, the engine will be available in two different states of tune, a lower 224 kW/400 N.m version as well as a top specification 298 kW/475 N.m version.
Infiniti will only offer the more powerful version in Europe. It is currently unclear which version we will receive in South Africa.
