Unlike our recent April Fools’ article focussed around a special edition Hilux, this ultimate Isuzu KB bakkie does actually exist.
Collaborating with Iceland-based all-terrain specialists Arctic Trucks, Isuzu UK is now offering a D-Max (or KB as we know it in SA) Arctic Trucks 35 edition to its customers.
Boasting 35-inch Nokian tyres on 17-inch wheels (with wheel arches adjusted outwards accordingly) this beefed-up bakkie also features a set of extra length FOX shock absorbers.
Complementing the KB’s already accomplished all-wheel-drive systems is an Arctic Trucks roll bar, bespoke load bay protector and skid plates, an auxiliary LED work light, and ARB-sourced tyre inflation system.
Available in double- and extended-cab body styles, the KB Arctic Trucks 35 features the company’s familiar 2,5-litre turbodiesel engine, mated with either six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission.
However unlikely, it would be great to see the KB Arctic Trucks 35 edition on South African pavements roads.
