Kia has taken the wraps off the new edition of its Cadenza; a luxury saloon also known as the K7 for South Korean markets.
The new Cadenza has an exterior that shows a design element that is more premium than previous models and heavily influenced by European signatures such as the slim lamps and elongated panels. The Cadenza still has the headlamps, grill and bumper seen on may of the company’s current models, but with more of an upmarket definition.
Specifications of the Cadenza have not yet been released but it is assumed that Kia’s newly developed 3,3-litre twin-turbo GDI V6 will be made available with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Interior pictures have not been released either, but with plans for the Cadenza to go on sale next year expect more information to be released fairly soon.
This will be the second generation of the Cadenza which replaced the Opirus abroad in 2011. Kia’s full-sized luxury saloons have never been made available to South African markets and it is unclear at this stage whether the new Cadenza will see our shores either.
