We recently learned that a special once-off Koenigsegg CCX was written off in Mexico. But now the Swedish manufacturer, which specialises in high-performance supercars, has created three units of something it calls the Agera RSR, although strictly for the Japanese market.
The Agera RSR separates itself from the RS by making use of a new roof scoop, much like the one found on the One:1. It also has the crazy rear wing that was optional on the RS as well as a removable hardtop.
Driving the Agera RSR is still be the biturbo 5,0-litre V8 delivering 865 kW and 1 280 N.m of torque to the rear wheels. With this, it is able to run from 0-400 km/h in a staggering 20 seconds.
Koenigsegg Japan has confirmed that these models (chassis 122, 123 and 124) will be part of the Agera RS’s total production run of 25 units, which is set to come to an end next year.
