Lexus has released a teaser image of its new LF-1 Limitless concept, saying that the new show car will serve to preview a fresh flagship crossover.
Set to be fully revealed at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January 2018, the Lexus LF-1 Limitless was penned by the CALTY design studio in Southern California.
The Japanese automaker says the new concept “reflects the next genre in luxury crossover vehicles”, adding that it “redefines the boundaries of luxury”.
Of course, the brand’s current SUV flagship is the LX, which shares much with the Toyota Land Cruiser and has been around in third-generation J200 guise since 2007.
The chances of a production version of the LF-1 Limitless eventually replacing the LX seem high, although the brand – which has already confirmed its intention to add the entry-level UX to its crossover range – has yet to officially reveal its plans.
