McLaren has released details of the new 570GT by MSO Concept ahead of its debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
The McLaren 570GT by MSO Concept effectively previews a collection of enhancements created by McLaren’s bespoke division.
So, what sets the concept apart from the vehicle on which it is based? Well, there’s a new MSO exhaust system, fashioned from titanium and consequently 30% lighter than the standard stainless steel system.
The new exhaust’s heat shields are furthermore finished in a golden titanium nitride tint, visible through the rear air ducts, which naturally change colour to a blue/purple as the system heats and cools through its cycle.
The body is finished in Elite “Pearl White” paint, while the fitment of an MSO Piano Black package provides some contrast (and includes deep gloss black finishes to exterior details such as the wheels, side-skirts, front and rear and door inserts, and interior details).
The McLaren 570GT by MSO Concept also features an “Electro-Chromic Roof”, which the British automaker says is “currently in development for the 570GT”. Using touch-sensitive headlining, the Electro-Chromic Roof can be adjusted through five defined points from almost clear to a dark tint. Gloss carbon-fibre sill panels, meanwhile, run the entire length of the 570 GT’s sills.
