Leaked images and a tantalizing promotional video of Mercedes’s BMW M4-baiting C63 AMG S Coupé have emerged online.
Taken at what looks like a pre-Frankfurt Motor Show presentation, the images reveal a number of AMG-flavoured styling cues such as a deeper, more aggressive-looking front apron, larger side skirts and rear profile sporting a boot-mounted spoiler and diffuser with quad exhaust array.
The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG S Coupé will be powered by the 4,0-litre twin-turbo V8 from its sedan sibling. Coupled with the company’s AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT transmission, this engine develops 375 kW and 700 N.m of torque – reportedly good for a 0-100 km/h time of around 3,9 seconds and a 290 km/h top speed.
The S will be joined by a ‘lesser’ stablemate boasting 349 kW and 650 N.m torque.
