When it comes to MPVs, we quite like the Nissan NV200, because it provides good value for money and can be surprisingly fun to drive. As a workhorse, it also gets the job done. And now Nissan has revealed its e-NV200 Workspace concept.
The e-NV200, of course, uses the lithium-ion battery system from the Nissan Leaf and is available in European markets as a commercial vehicle, exempt of government tax. The Workspace concept takes this one step further, essentially turning the vehicle into a mobile office.
Nissan roped in a design firm called Studio Hardie, which is famous for squeezing plenty of equipment into tiny spaces (the e-NV200, though boasts interior space of 4 298 dm3). Inside the Workspace concept, we find a coffee machine, a foldaway desk (with an all-in-one PC) and a bicycle rack.
Other interesting additions include a panoramic roof, oak flooring, smartphone-controlled LED ambient lighting and a pull-out deck at the back.
The aim of all of this? To create a tranquil work-space that you can take along with you (provided there are charging points along the way)…
