Practically buried in the avalanche of new supercars at this year’s Geneva Motor Show is the Nissan Sway concept. It’s a little hatchback you should take note of…
The Nissan Sway is important for two reasons: 1, it features the best interpretation yet of Nissan’s new design language first seen on the new Murano; and 2, it previews the next gen. Nissan Micra.
The new Micra will be designed by Nissan’s European design and engineering teams (they did the very successful Juke and Qashqai).
“We are experimenting to see how Nissan might be able to bring fresh ideas to the compact segment,” says Design chief Shiro Nakamura. And if this is what they have in mind for the rather bland current Micra, then it gets the thumbs up from us.
The new Micra is due for a mid-2016 European launch.
