Nissan will reveal its all-new Micra at the upcoming Paris Motor Show, and has provided a few clues about the hatchback’s fresh design in a short teaser video.
Although the Japanese automaker has yet to provide any official information about the new generation hatchback, the 13-second clip does include the words: “A revolution is coming”.
The footage gives us a glimpse of the Micra’s angular new headlights, and confirms that it will feature the latest iteration of the brand’s now-signature “V-Motion” grille. There’s also a brief look at the new taillights, which stand proud of the body. Expect some styling inspiration to be drawn from the Sway concept that was first shown off in Geneva in 2015.
The new Micra is expected to run on Renault-Nissan’s CMF B platform. No word yet on engine options, although these new underpinnings will be able to accommodate the Alliance’s 1,0-litre turbo-triples, the familiar 1,5-litre turbo-diesel and even the 1,6 turbo-petrol.
The new vehicle will be fully unveiled on September 29 in Paris.
