The folks over at Overfinch have been spicing up the Range Rover since the 70s. And now it has revealed the one-off Manhattan and London editions pictured above.
Overfinch’s philosophy with this specific transformation was to give the Range Rover an “unparalleled design and craftsmanship”. Many hours went into designing these two models. In fact, Overfinch reckons 250 hours were spent on the interior alone.
The company chose the Manhattan and London monikers because these were the cities that inspired the two designs. The vehicles each feature an interior depiction of the skylines of Manhattan or London, formed from 5 500 pieces of hand-cut abalone shell, stainless steel and walnut.
The Manhattan interior furthermore gains ivory leather upholstery with ebony stitching, while the London model makes use of cirrus white leather with navy stitching. Sill plates and rotary switches have also been replaced.
The exterior design is just as dramatic. Both models gain an intimidating body-kit, consisting of new front and rear bumpers, side skirts, boot spoiler and a bespoke set of 22-inch wheels.
Being based on the Autobiography model, these variants retain the supercharged 5,0-litre V8, which produces 375 kW and 625 N.m.
Despite being one-off models, they have already been put up for sale. The price is said to be around £249 000 (R4 372 500)…
