This is the new generation of instrument clusters that Peugeot will feature in its models. It’s the second generation of the current i-Cockpit and, much like the one featured in current Audi models, it places all of the vehicle’s driving and infotainment information on the LED display.
The i-Cockpit makes use of a customisable 12,3-inch screen and will be offered throughout the range of Peugeot models. Next to this instrument cluster the models will retain the eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It’s said that the infotainment screen and instrument cluster will be able to share similar readings such as the 3D navigation and MirrorLink display.
The first run of the i-Cockpit was largely criticised for being placed inline with the steering wheel which meant that drivers rarely get to see what’s going on. Thanks to a redesign, the steering wheel now sits 2 mm lower to help combat this flaw.
