This is the new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup which will be used for the 2017 racing season. Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, Carrera Cup Deutschland and other GT3 events will feature this model.
The new 911 GT3 Cup makes use of a 4,0-litre six-cylinder boxer engine which delivers 357 kW to the rear wheels. With racing weight of 1 200 kg it is also very light.
The front apron and rear-end have also been revised to make it more aerodynamic. The rear wing, however remains the same as the model it replaces. One piece 18-inch racing wheels are fitted to 270 mm front and 310 mm rear Michellen racing slicks.
Driver safety is provided by a solid safety cage , bucket-style racing seat that is moulded heavily around the head and shoulders and an enlarged rescue hatch in the roof.
The 911 GT3 Cup will be produced on the same production line as the road-going 911 in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen.
